In February 2001, Towns Shearing decided to trade as an independent agency, after previously being part of a franchise operation. It was significant that as part of the group Towns Shearing was awarded top office Tasmania from 1992 to 2000 inclusive as well as TOP TEN AUSTRALIA numerous times.
Robert Bevan who is acknowledged as the leading authority on "Best Practise Agencies" in Australasia, invites the top 10% of the industry to meet annually at a national conference. Attendance is "by invitation only" and Towns Shearing Real Estate have benefited greatly, by attending for several years.
