QR codes

What is a QR Code?

A QR code is a 2 dimensional barcode that can be easily scanned using a QR code reader installed on your mobile phone and your phone's inbuilt camera. Your phone may already have a QR code reader installed, but if not you'll need to install one.

Once you have the software on your phone, you can scan an individual QR code from the Towns Shearing Property Guide or one of our signboards and connect instantly via the internet to all the information you need on that property.

How does it work?

1) Open the QR code reader that is installed on your mobile phone
2) Aim the camera over the entire QR code and simply scan or click the scan button, allowing the QR code reader to read the code
3) Your phone will then instantly open it's internet browser and display the desired property including photos, property details and property consultant contact information.

Most recent mobile phones already have a QR code reader installed. It is normally located in the tools or applications menu of the phone. For Telstra phones, it is called Scan Code and it is located in the My Place menu on your compatible Next G mobile. For Iphones, you will need to download a QR code reader from the applications store. Again, for Telstra customers, we recommend the free application Scan Code.

QR code readers can also be downloaded from the web. There are many different readers available and most connect to all mobile phones. We recommend the Kaywa reader. If your phone is incompatible other readers can be located at www.mobile-barcodes.com
